On November 10, 2022, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering held a Meeting of the National Council for the Perfection of the High-Quality Engineer Education Program in Vietnam (PFIEV) - University of Civil Engineering in 2022.
Attending the meeting, on the French side were: Mr. Thibaut Skrzypek - International Cooperation Department of Paris National University of Bridges and Roads (ENPC), Spokesperson (Porte-parole) of the French School Complex; Mr. Joël Bianco - Principal of Louis Le Grand High School; Ms. Pham Mai Quyen - IMT Atlantique School; Mr. Christian Obrecht - Lyon National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA Lyon); Mr. Christophe Bobineau - Grenoble Institute of National Polytechnic (Grenoble INP); Ms. Séverine Giroud - Department of International Relations, Grenoble Institute of National Polytechnic (Grenoble INP); Mr. Pascal Maussion - Vice President of Foreign Affairs of the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse (Toulouse INP) and Ms. Claudia Frydman - National Polytechnic University of Marseille (Polytech Marseille).
On the side of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, there were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Anh - Vice Rector, Head of the project of training high-quality engineers of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering; Dr. Tong Ngoc Tu - Head of High-Quality Engineer Education and Management Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Binh Ha - Head of Academic Affairs Department; Dr. Pham Tuan Hung - Head of Testing and Education Quality Assurance Department; Dr. Ho Quoc Khanh - Head of Communication & Admissions Department; Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Head of International Relations Department; Mr. Tran Vinh Trung - Head of Accounting Department, and teachers of the High-Quality Engineer Education and Management Department, specialized teachers, in charge of Mathematics and Physics of PFIEV.
Overview of the meeting
The meeting was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Anh - Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. Dr. Tong Ngoc Tu, Head of High-Quality Engineer Education and Management Department presented a report summarizing the activities of the High-Quality Engineer Education Program of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering in 2022. The report summarized activities related to: Admissions and sub-divisional examinations; Graduation and post-graduation employment; Connecting with businesses and with alumni; Training - Scientific research - Innovation of PFIEV students... and proposed operational direction for 2023.

After listening to the report, the French Consortium was very impressed with the contents presented, helping the French Consortium to have a comprehensive view of many meaningful and effective activities, helping to develop PFIEV of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering in all fields in the past year. On that basis, the French expert delegation and the participants exchanged and discussed creating more favorable conditions to attract enrollment for the program; increasing the number of students attending dual degrees, graduate internships, and postgraduates studying in France with different financial sources; inviting native speakers of French schools to teach general and specialized lessons to students; promoting cooperation with French businesses through the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV) to help students have more internship and recruitment opportunities; and supporting and sharing experiences of French partner schools in the accreditation of higher education institutions...

On this occasion, the French Consortium presented the school with souvenirs with the hope that the cooperation activities would develop and gain new successes.

The meeting ended well with a high agreement between the two sides on the direction of operation in the coming year to improve PFIEV - the training program that is considered the most successful in cooperation in higher education between France and Vietnam.
